Ayrshire derby in Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final
Ayr United and Kilmarnock have been paired together in the semi-final of the 2011/12 Scottish Communities League Cup.
The Ayrshire rivals face each other for the first time in a competitive match since January 2009. Kilmarnock prevailed on their last meeting, winning 3-1 at home in a Scottish Cup replay after a 2-2 draw at Somerset Park.
Ayr saw off East Stirlingshire, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Hearts and St Mirren to reach the semi-final stage and will be looking to claim their fourth SPL scalp of the season.
Killie meanwhile put five past Queen of the South before defeating East Fife at home, having entered the competition at the third round stage.
