Electronic duo Underworld to direct music at Olympic Opening Ceremony

The band will join a team of senior creatives including the Oscar-winning filmmaker and producer Danny Boyle, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today announced.

Underworld and Danny Boyle have collaborated several times in the past, including on the band’s most commercially successful track to date, ‘Born Slippy’ (listen below), the soundtrack to Boyle’s cult classic, Trainspotting. The song is now considered as one of the greatest dance tracks of the last decade.
